Oh – and I kinda edit as I go along. Before I start each writing session I’ll read over what I wrote the day before and correct the bad sentences and typos. This gets me back in the zone.

I only have an hour or so to write each day – wage slave – and I am a pantser. I just start with the first line…and take it from there. I get worried when I hear about planners. And envious. But then I heard Tess Gerritson say she is like me. She said from the stage that she always gets to a point halfway in the book where she is stuck, having painted herself into a corner. And then eventually she finds a way out. I felt like jumping to my feet and shouting – me too!
